Robert Marshall To Be Appointed Haddonfield Commissioner
Robert Marshall is expected to be appointed commissioner for the seat that will be vacated by John Moscatelli on Tuesday.
HADDONFIELD, NJ — Robert Marshall is expected to be appointed Haddonfield Commissioner for the seat that will be vacated by John Moscatelli on Tuesday, July 2, borough officials announced on Friday. A special meeting will be held in Room 102 at Borough Hall at 7 p.m.
"After a process involving 24 applicants for this vacancy, we have agreed on Bob Marshall, who brings a wealth of experience in government and community volunteering," Haddonfield Mayor Neal Rochford said. "We had many strong candidates to choose from, so this was not an easy decision. I am confident that Bob's background, skills and expertise will serve him and the residents of Haddonfield well as a commissioner."
Moscatelli announced that he would resign because he is moving out of the area. He will formally resign once Marshall is appointed. Marshall will serve until a special election is held to fill the remainder of the unexpired term. That special election will take the same day New Jersey will hold general elections, on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
