Man Busted Robbing Same Oaklyn Store Twice In 6 Hours: Police
Ryan Glick is accused of robbing the same 7-11 on the White Horse Pike twice in a six-hour period.
OAKLYN, NJ — There’s a reason lightning doesn’t strike the same spot twice; it’s not as effective the second time. Oaklyn police arrested an Audubon man they say returned to the scene of a convenience store armed robbery six hours later — to commit a second crime.
Ryan Glick, 28, is accused of robbing the 7-11 at 416 White Horse Pike at about 12:45 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 2, according to the Oaklyn Police Department. At that time, police said he was wearing a ski hat and demanded money from an employee while indicating he had a weapon, police said. He fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.
Oaklyn police were called to the scene. They cleared the scene and continued their investigation at police headquarters, reviewing video of the incident in an attempt to identify the suspect.

A man matching the description of that suspect then robbed the same 7-11 store at 6:40 a.m., police said. A witness reported seeing the suspect fleeing the store being chased by the store employee, who was saying he had just been robbed again. The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, but was captured by police following a short foot chase.
In the second robbery, Glick is also accused of assaulting an elderly man who was shopping at the store and peacefully confronted him during the robbery, police said. The man wasn’t injured and refused medical attention.

After reviewing tape from both incidents, Oaklyn police determined that in both incidents, Glick parked the same car in the municipal parking lot, within feet of several marked Oaklyn police cars before walking across the street to commit the robberies.
Glick was charged with one count of first-degree armed robbery and one count of second-degree strong armed robbery. Glick was processed and remanded to the Camden County Jail to await a preliminary bail hearing in the near future.
