Man Charged With Murder 2 Years After Shooting At Victim's Home In South Jersey: Officials
A confrontation in the roadway led to the shooting, authorities said.
BRIDGETON, NJ — An arrest was made nearly two years after a Cumberland County man was fatally shot at his home, authorities said Tuesday.
Terry Stocks was charged Aug. 22 with murder in connection with the shooting death of fellow Bridgeton resident Brian Pineda, authorities said.
Stocks, 29, was arrested Saturday.

The shooting happened the night of Sept. 3, 2023, at Pineda's home on Mount Vernon Street, according to the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office.
Responding officers found Pineda suffering from a single gunshot wound inside his home. Pineda, 25, was pronounced dead shortly after.

Investigators later determined that Stocks and Pineda had a confrontation in the roadway where the shooting occurred, authorities said.
Prosecutors did not say when or how they identified Stocks as the suspect.
Stocks, 29, was charged with first-degree murder and several second-degree weapons offenses. He was placed in the Cumberland County Jail.
Prosecutors filed a pre-trial motion to keep Stocks detained.
Online court records didn't list an attorney for Stocks on Tuesday.
