Man Fatally Shot in Camden, City's 2nd-Reported Deadly Shooting In 1 Week: Prosecutor

The city resident was pronounced dead Saturday night at the hospital.

CAMDEN, NJ — A man died from gunshot wounds Saturday night in Camden, authorities said. The incident marked the city's second-reported fatal shooting in a week.

At about 9:45 p.m., police responded to reported gunshots at the 400 block of North 7th Street, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office (CCPO). Officers found the victim — later identified as Antwan Burdett, 32, of Camden — suffering from gunshot wounds, authorities said.

He was taken to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:15 p.m.
