Man Killed In Crash After Motorcycle Runs Off South Jersey Road: Police
A small town suffered its second fatal crash in only a few days.
FAIRFIELD TOWNSHIP, NJ — A motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries from a crash Sunday night in Cumberland County, officials said.
State troopers responded to the one-vehicle collision at 7:02 p.m. on Back Neck Road in Fairfield Township. According to the preliminary investigation, a Honda motorcycle was traveling east when it ran off the roadway and hit a utility pole and a tree.
The collision killed William Rannels, 60, of Fairfield, police said.

The crash remains under investigation, and State Police had no additional information available.
