Philadelphia 76ers Donation To Help Cooper Health Get PPE

The Philadelphia 76ers are donating money to Cooper for personal protective equipment, the health system announced.

CAMDEN, NJ — The Philadelphia 76ers are helping Cooper Health Care in its battle against new coronavirus.

Managing Partner Josh Harris, Co-Managing Partner David Blitzer and the Philadelphia 76ers organization have made a significant donation to Cooper University Health Care’s COVID-19 Assistance Fund, the health system announced on Thursday.

They provided money to help buy a variety of personal protective equipment (PPE), including N95 respirators, surgical masks, gloves, gowns, cleaning supplies, hand sanitizer, eye protection, and other critically needed medical equipment, such as ventilators.

“On behalf of the nearly 8,000 members of the Cooper team I want to thank Josh Harris, David Blitzer, and the Philadelphia 76ers for their both the incredibly generous donation and for serving as a tremendous partner in serving our community,” Cooper Co-President/CEO Kevin O’Dowd said.

“Cooper’s clinical and support staff are among the most skilled, compassionate, and dedicated healthcare professionals and this contribution will directly provide needed resources to help those on the front line providing care,” Co-President/CEO of Cooper Anthony J. Mazzarelli said.
