Police Seek Person Of Interest In Fatal Daylight Shooting

Police are asking for the public's help to identify a man involved in a daylight shooting in South Jersey that took place on Wednesday.

Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a man who may have information pertaining to a fatal shooting that took place in broad daylight Wednesday afternoon in South Jersey. Camden County Police responded to reports of a person who was shot at the intersection of Morton and Norris Streets in Camden at about 2:48 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 16.

Arriving officers discovered that 39-year-old Mutota Amon, of Camden, had been shot multiple times, according to Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson.

Amon was taken to Cooper University Hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries at about 3:05 p.m. Police are asking for the public’s help to identify the man in the photos attached to this post and the video embedded below.
