Grant Awarded To Haddon Twp. Arts Organization, NJ Says
"This is the most challenging type of support for nonprofits to come by," a member of the organization awarding the funds said.

HADDON, NJ — The Rirz Theatre Company in Haddon Township received a grant totaling nearly $90,000 from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, the state of New Jersey said on July 26.
The organization's $89,200 grant is intended for "general operating support," the state said.
The Haddon Township group was one of more than 700 projects sharing roughly $28 million in state funding, the state said.

"Of the $28.3 million announced ... roughly 70 percent is to support the general operations of organizations in all 21 counties," said New Jersey Council on the Arts Chair Elizabeth Mattson.
"We know this is the most challenging type of support for nonprofits to come by, and it’s critical to their success," Mattson continued. "Operating dollars allow arts businesses to create and sustain tens of thousands of jobs, present hundreds of thousands of events, and attract and serve millions of people year-round."
