New Dates For Town-Wide Yard Sale In Haddon Township Due To Forecast

The first day of the town-wide yard sale has been pushed to next weekend.

HADDON TOWNSHIP, NJ — Officials adjusted the schedule for Haddon Township's town-wide yard sale because of an "unpredictable" forecast for the coming days.

The event was originally set for two Saturdays — May 13 and 20, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Instead, the yard sale will occur during those hours May 20 and 21, according to the township's Friday morning email to residents.

Forecasters expect a coastal storm to bring rain to the region Friday night into Saturday. Here's the National Weather Service's weekend forecast for Haddon Township as of 11:30 a.m. Friday:

  • Friday night: A chance of showers, mainly after 1 a.m. Increasing clouds, with a low around 54. Southeast wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
  • Saturday: Showers likely before 2 p.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., then a chance of showers after 5 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 74. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming south in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
  • Saturday night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 54. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
  • Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 77. Northwest wind around 10 mph.
  • Sunday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 55.
