Traffic Impacts To Last Months Along Road In South Jersey

HADDONFIELD, NJ — Drivers in and around Haddon Avenue will deal with the impacts of construction for weeks as safety improvements are made to the road, county officials said.

Beginning Monday, the intersection of Haddon Avenue and Cuthbert Boulevard will be the site of work as part of a $3.5 million Pedestrian Safety Improvement Project.

This includes traffic light upgrades and improvements to pedestrian areas along Haddon Avenue at Collings Avenue, Cuthbert Boulevard, Crystal Lake Avenue, and Maple Avenue.

Work will take place between Strawbridge Avenue and Bryant Avenue.

Lane closures are scheduled for Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. for up to two months.

Other capabilities for making turns may also be restricted, along with posted detours.

After this first phase, other work will not begin until Spring 2027, said officials.
