Unlocked Car Stolen, Another Burglarized In Haddonfield: Police

Residents told law enforcement that they saw four males in ski masks, checking car-door handles.

HADDONFIELD, NJ — An unlocked car was stolen, and another unlocked vehicle got burglarized early Thursday morning in Haddonfield, police said.

Residents told law enforcement that they saw four males in ski masks, checking car-door handles. The investigation, which includes Ring camera footage police obtained, remains ongoing as of Friday afternoon.

Police Chief Jason Cutler "implored" residents to remove keys from their vehicles and lock their cars and garage doors.

A car was stolen early that morning from a homeowner's driveway on the 200 block of Ardmore Avenue. The thieves then pulled over on Marne Avenue, throwing out vehicle-identification info before driving away with the stolen car, police said.

Change was stolen from another unlocked car in the neighborhood, according to local authorities.

Haddonfield police urged the public to call 911 immediately if they see something suspicious or witness a potential crime in action. The police agency's non-emergency number is 856-429-3000.
