Urgent Care Centers Filling a Need in South Jersey
Health systems and independent providers are planning more centers at varying paces in the coming months, according to the Courier Post.

Health care companies are planning to open more urgent care centers in South Jersey to meet a growing need, the Courier Post reports.
About 30,000 people used Virtua’s centers in Moorestown, Voorhees and Washington Township last year, with three more planned in Camden and Burlington counties over the next year and a half, according to the report.
Virtua Executive Vice President for Population and Health Management Mike Kotzen told the Courier Post that the urgent care centers serve as an access point for patients, and hold down overcrowding in hospitals and emergency rooms.
