UPDATE: 2 Cars Stolen In Haddonfield; Both From A Targeted Vehicle Brand: Police

Update, 12:15 p.m. Monday: Haddonfield police are now investigating two vehicle thefts from the township. Both are Hyundai's — a vehicle brand in which certain models have been vulnerable to thefts.

Both vehicles in Haddonfield had broken driver-side windows with no keys in the cars, police said. The vehicles have been recovered.

Hyundai and Kia vehicles made from 2011-22 (Hyundai's from 2015-22) have been targeted nationwide because of an immobilizer issue, making it easy to start the cars without keys in the ignition. Both automakers provide free software upgrades and steering wheels locks.

HADDONFIELD, NJ — A vehicle stolen from Haddonfield has been found, police said. But the investigation into the theft remains ongoing.

The vehicle was stolen Saturday night from Lake Street, according to the Haddonfield Police Department. The Delaware River Port Authority Police recovered it in Philadelphia.

No additional information is available as of Monday.

The incident came a month after an unlocked, running car was stolen from a residential driveway on West End Avenue, according to law enforcement.
