Water Main Replacement Project In Haddonfield Begins This Month

The work is part of over $4.2 million worth of water main replacements taking place throughout Camden and Burlington counties.

HADDONFIELD, NJ — A water main replacement project in Haddonfield will begin this month as New Jersey American Water launches over $4.2 million worth of projects in Camden and Burlington counties, the water company announced. In Haddonfield, work takes place on Roberts Avenue, from East Kings Highway to the end of the road. The projects will replace outdated piping, improve service reliability, prevent water outages and enhance fire protection, the company said in a release.

Residents within the scope of the project will receive a notice stating the actual state date before construction begins, according to the water company. Drivers and pedestrians are advised to use caution while traveling in the vicinity of work sites, especially during construction hours.

“New Jersey American Water places a high value on our proactive replacement program, as it helps us improve water quality and service and makes our systems more resilient to potential disruptions in the future,” New Jersey American Water Senior Director of South Operations David Forcinito said. “These projects within Burlington and Camden counties are a continuation of the critical investment for the company to provide our customers with safe, reliable water service.”
