WEATHER ALERT: How Cold Will It Get In South Jersey This Weekend?

At one point this weekend, it will be 1 degree in South Jersey, but for most of the weekend, it will feel significantly colder as the coldest temperatures New Jersey has seen since 2004 settle in.

The National Weather Service is warning of possibly damaging high winds this weekend with wind gusts up to 60 mph.

South Jersey is under a High Wind Watch from 10 p.m. Saturday night until 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

South Jersey can expect snow showers on Saturday, mainly after noon, with heavy snowfall at times. South Jersey could see between 1 and 2 inches of snow.

The low is projected to be 12, with wind chill values as low as 3 below.

Winds of 11 to 16 mph could get as high as 28 after midnight, with wind gusts up to 49 mph.

The National Weather Service warns of possible power outages due to high winds.

No snow is projected for Sunday or Monday, but wind gusts could be as much as 55 mph and the low temperature could be 1 degree.

The cold subsides slightly for President’s Day, as Monday’s temperatures will be between 14 and 21.

The National Weather Service advises residents to make sure they have sufficient fuel to heat their homes and to protect their pipes from freezing.

Friday, 9 p.m.: 17 degrees with a wind chill factor of 10 and a dew point of 1, partly cloudy with 5 mph winds and wind gusts of 7 mph
