TERC is not a bricks and mortar site but an online service that covers a host of sources and techniques on everything from applying for scholarships, transitioning out of the military or filing your resume file online. During the class Wednesday, librarian Jo Pure will guide those seeking employment through the Career Builder process which helps construct a resume based on the applicant’s response to questions about their experience and skills.
The Gage Cenage Learning group, which publishes TERC, describes the model on their website. “The Resume Builder helps users build outstanding, appealing resumes based on the stage of their career and type of position they are applying for. It also includes help tools specific to the user including high school students, those transitioning out of the military, and those looking for internships. The Virtual Careers Library provides resume, cover letter, and interviewing tips for users starting out in high school to the seasoned professional (who) is changing careers.”
