Haddonfield, NJ -- The following is the list of Haddonfield businesses that have already agreed to participate in the borough’s “Shop Haddonfield” tax rebate program, according to the Haddonfield Sun:
- Bistro at Haddonfield
- Community Bikes and Boards
- Duffy’s Fine Chocolates
- Haddonfield Fine Jewelers
- Jax Boutique
- Jay West Bridal
- Jeffrey Charles Designs Jewelry and Repairs
- Le Café’ Creperie
- Maxappeal Boutique
- Maxwell James Apparel
- The Nail Café’
- Colette Oswald Photography
- Jules Portrait Design, LLC
- In the Kitchen Cooking School
- Pure Couture Consignment
- Haddonfield Inn
Businesses participating in the program are offering discounts of 3.75 percent to 15 percent, with some limitations.
Residents pay full price, and a third-party processor debits the discounted amount directly, according to the report. At the end of the year, residents receive a deduction equal to their discount.

A portion of the sales, 2 percent, goes to that processor, Marlboro-based Fincredit, the company that oversees the program, which was launched in Marlboro in 2012.
Residents acquire a rebate card from their town, and local businesses are equipped with machines that read the card.

They then see the savings on their property tax bill, according to the Asbury Park Press.
There is no cost for residents, and municipalities are typically consulting sponsors to cover the cost of printing cards in exchange for advertising.
