The pile kept on growing as more and more people drove into the Corpus Christi Church parking lot to drop off bags filled with donations for the Corpus Christi School annual clothing drive fundraiser on Thursday.
This is the fifth year the school has hosted this clothing drive fundraiser, said Connie Mason, chair of the event. Mason has led the efforts for the past four years.
The items collected include all clothing items, some accessories like belts, household items like towels and sheets and stuffed animals will be picked up by an organization that ships the items to different parts of the world – Poland, Africa and parts of Latin America, Mason explained.

The school receives funds from the organization based on the amount of items it brings in. Those funds benefit the school, she said.
Last year they collected 25,000 pounds of items which brought in $4,000 for the school, Mason said.
