Full Slate of Activities Set for Annual Drug Prevention Week
Educational activities, contests, and drug free rally remind kids to stay away from drugs

A full slate of activities designed to teach and remind children to keep away from drugs will take place all this week at both and schools to mark annual Drug Prevention Week.
School administrators are joined by the members of both school PTAs and members of the police department in these continuous educational efforts. Both Euclid and Lincoln School PTAs formed a Drug Awareness Committee which is sponsoring a Book Mark Design contest for all the children.
One winner will be selected from each grade the bookmark will be printed and distributed to the students in that grade. Each winner will also receive a prize from the PTA and will have his or her bookmark on display at the school during Drug Awareness Week.

Each day of the week has a special theme and activity attached to it as a way to remind children to stay away from drugs.
Monday is “Team Up Against Drugs” where children are encouraged to wear team jerseys to school;

Tuesday is “Wake Up Drug Free” day where the students can wear pajamas to school;
Wednesday is “Being Drug Free is No Sweat” as the kids will wear sweats to school and can take part in the “ Jump Rope for Heart” fundraiser for the American Heart Association;
Thursday is “Too Smart to Start, Drug Free School Spirit Day,” where children are encouraged to wear orange and black to school;
Friday is “Roses are Red and Drug Free Just Like Me” wear children are encouraged to wear red to school to show their support for the Drug Free Rally.
Once again the members of the borough’s will visit both schools for the to educate them to “just say no.”
