Sunday marked the debut of the Hasbrouck Heights seven-year old baseball travel team. They hosted North Arlington at the Hasbrouck Height Little League minor field. Hasbrouck Heights won 3-2.
Unlike Minor B games, it was the first time the kids pitched and caught during a game. It is a competitive instructional travel team, geared toward helping players improve their skills in games against other towns. The coaching staff includes Mike Kata, Nick Cucio, Pat Campen, Oscar Diaz and George Friedel.
“This was an amazing showing of each player’s ability and dedication to the sport of baseball,” said Coach Mike Kata. “The team is looking forward to next week’s game.”
