Last Chance to Enter 'Big Read' Poster Contest
Deadline for students to submit their posters is April 18
Time is running out for students to enter the poster contest for a chance to win a Kindle e-reader.
The deadline to submit posters to Suzanne Kos at the high school is Tuesday, April 18. The contest is part of the Heights Big Read which this year is focused on the "Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian" by Sherman Alexie.
Posters should promote reading and also emphasize an element of multi-cultural literature. They should be 2-dimensional and traditional poster size of 22 by 28 inches. Art can be done in any medium. They will judged on creativity, execution of ideas and originality. Judging will be done by a faculty commitee.

The top two winners will receive a Kindle reader.
This poster contest is part of the second annual Heights Big Read event where all are invited to take part in reading the book, following the discussion on Facebook.

There will also be a screening of the film with screenplay written by Sherman Alexie set for Monday, April 23 at 7 p.m. at the high school media center.
