$3M In Drugs Seized From Brothers In Bergen: Prosecutor

Two Mexican men were arrested Friday after authorities found $3 million in drugs, including 3 pounds of raw fentanyl, they were going to sell in Bergen County, acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo announced.
Brothers Romulo Chaidez Medrano, 26, and Arcenio Chaidez Medrano, 36, were arrested following an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office, Calo said in a news release.
The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office learned Friday that Medrano and Medrano were coming to Bergen County to sell large amounts of crystal methamphetamine, heroin, and fentanyl, Calo said.

The men were arrested in Hasbrouck Heights. The men had 3 pounds of raw fentanyl, 6,250 fentanyl tablets, nearly 8 pounds of heroin, and 28 pounds of crystal meth on them when they were found by authorities, the acting prosecutor said.
The drugs, which authorities seized, had a street value of $3 million, Calo said.

Romulo Chaidez Medrano and Arcenio Chaidez Medrano were each charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, namely crystal methamphetamine and heroin, and possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, namely fentanyl.
The men were remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending first appearances in Central Municipal Court in Hackensack Nov. 21.
