PTA Has All the Right Ingredients For New Fundraiser Idea
Euclid School family cookbook features recipes from parents, teachers and some students.

The PTA has cooked up a great idea.
Parents and teachers came together to share some of their favorite recipes which the PTA compiled into the “Alphabet Soup: Our Euclid School Family of Recipes.”
Diane Robertson, of the Euclid PTA, helped spearhead the idea for this cookbook, a fundraiser for the PTA. Proceeds from the book, which sells for $10, benefits the students, Robertson said.

The PTA formed a cookbook committee and recipes from parents, teachers, even some of the students began to pour in, she explained. The book features about 150 recipes, some of which are really near and dear to the heart of those who shared them.
For example, Robertson said parent Margaret Stone shared her French Toast Casserole recipe, which she shares is a real Christmas morning favorite in her family. Christina Bari shared “Nans’ Lentils” in memory of her own grandmother.

Recipes for desserts, appetizers, main dishes, salads, cakes, breads and so much more from members of the Euclid family in this book. The book also includes an index of all recipes, information about nutrition, and other useful things like areas for notes, to jot down favorite recipes. It also includes a guide to herbs and spices.
The Cookbook Commitee consists of Robertson as chairperson, and Lori Bothe, Jamie Cunningham and Jill Napolitano. This is the first time the school PTA has done any kind of fundraiser like this that she is aware of, Robertson said. It’s something they can keep selling for some time at upcoming events.
The shipment of printed books arrived just before Easter and the PTA now plans to sell them at some upcoming events, like Town Day. It can also be a great Mother's Day gift.
