“As a community bank, Spencer Savings is committed to being there when and where our customers need us,” says Bank Chairman, President and CEO José B. Guerrero. “The opening of our Wood-Ridge branch is yet another way in which we’re delivering on that promise each and every day.”

Leading the new location as Branch Manager is Elaine Blondek, a lifetime Wood-Ridge resident with deep ties to the community and more than 27 years in the industry. She will focus on continuing to build the strong local connections for which Spencer is known, while providing trusted, personal service to the area’s commercial and personal banking customers.

“Spencer has always had a reputation for being a true part of its communities,” reflects Blondek. “The moment I saw that the bank was coming to Wood-Ridge, I wanted to be a part of it. Wood-Ridge is my hometown, and it’s a place where community commitment really matters to people.”

On April 26, Blondek and her team held a successful Grand Opening event during which residents were invited to stop in, take a tour, and enjoy a full day of family fun and refreshments. More than 500 community residents were in attendance throughout the day.  Celebrations will continue with a number of attractive grand-opening specials, from CD and IRA specials to limited-time home-equity and mortgage rate discounts, running through May 31st at the Wood-Ridge branch.

“Spencer Savings has the same services the big banks offer, with a level of personal attention that can’t be matched,” Guerrero says. “With their passion and deep community ties, Blondek and her talented team will be indispensible to anyone seeking a more personal bank experience.”
