• Hawthorne Signs 10-Year Public Health Partnership With County (tapinto.net) — Hawthorne has turned over its local public health services to Passaic County under a new 10-year shared services agreement that began July 1, 2026. Residents will now see a county public health nurse holding weekly hours at Borough Hall, while county staff handle restaurant inspections, disease tracking, immunizations, and emergency preparedness tailored to Hawthorne families and businesses.
