• Researchers Map Major Gaps in New Jersey's Local News Coverage (rutgers.edu) — Hi-Nella is singled out in a new Rutgers study as one of the New Jersey towns receiving very little sustained local news coverage on government, schools, and community issues. Researchers reviewed more than 66,000 articles and found big gaps between well-covered cities and small municipalities like Hi-Nella, warning that weak local reporting can hurt civic engagement and public accountability.
