1st Bald Eagle Egg Of 2023 Arrives At Duke Farms

Locals can watch the eagle activities and the possibility of a second egg on the Duke Farms 24/7 live stream.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — The first Bald Eagle egg of 2023 has arrived at Duke Farms in Hillsborough.

The egg was spotted on Friday at 4:08 p.m., according to Conserve Wildlife Foundation of NJ.

Duke Farms is encouraging locals to tune into its Duke Farms' Eagle cam — which livestreams the nest 24 hours a day, seven days a week — as there is a possibility for more eggs.

"If there is more than one, they will be laid every 2 days or so after the first," said Duke Farms Deputy Executive Director Nora DiChiara.

This is the nest's 18th season. The parents or pair are the same as those who shared the nest last year. In 2022, two eggs were laid but sadly only one survived. Read More: 1 Bald Eagle Chick Dies, Remaining Chick Thrives At Duke Farms
