2 Hillsborough Teachers Honored By Township Committee

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Two Hillsborough teachers were recently honored by the Township Committee with proclamations recognizing them for being named Governor's Educator of the Year.

Melanie Cella was named Governor's Educator of the Year for Sunnymead school and Stephanie Moore was named Governor's Educator of the Year for Hillsborough Elementary School.

"Thank you for the recognition and it's been an honor to teach in Hillsborough Public Schools," said Cella.

"I still love my job as much as did 23 years ago. Although things have changed and it's different I still love it every day when I come to work," said Moore.

Melanie Cella, a special education teacher, has the honor of being named Sunnymead Elementary School’s Governor’s Educator of the Year for the 2022-2023 school year because of her dedication and service to the Hillsborough School District; and

WHEREAS, Melanie Cella has been a member of the Hillsborough School District faculty for five years; and

WHEREAS, Melanie Cella has served as the Co-President of Sunnymead Elementary’s Benevolent Fund and as the Co-Runner of the F.I.T. Girls program; and

WHEREAS, Sunnymead Elementary School is proud to name Melanie Cella as their Teacher of the Year.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED that we, the Mayor and the Hillsborough Township Committee, further commend Melanie Cella for being recognized as Sunnymead Elementary School’s Teacher of the Year and we thank her for all her work and dedication to Hillsborough’s youth.

Stephanie Moore, a fourth-grade teacher, has the honor of being named Hillsborough Elementary School’s Governor’s Educator of the Year for the 2022-2023 school year because of her dedication and service to the Hillsborough School District; and

WHEREAS, Stephanie Moore has been a member of the Hillsborough School District faculty
for 23 years; and

WHEREAS, Stephanie Moore has taught TP, third, and fourth grade. She has volunteered on
committees at the YMCA and school activities including PICTO, book fair, concerts, and Home and School meetings; and

WHEREAS, Hillsborough Elementary School is proud to name Stephanie More as their Teacher of the Year.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED that we, the Mayor and the Hillsborough Township Committee, further commend Stephanie Moore for being recognized as Hillsborough Elementary School’s Teacher of the Year and we thank her for all her work and dedication to Hillsborough’s youth.
