$356K Grant Awarded To Hillsborough To Repave Dukes Parkway West

This grant will cover about 50% of the cost of repaving. The balance of the funding will be part of the 2025 Capital Road Repaving Program.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Hillsborough Township recently received a $356,411 grant from the New Jersey Department of Transportation for the repaving of Dukes Parkway West.

This grant will cover about 50 percent of the cost of repaving. The balance of the funding will be part of the 2025 Capital Road Repaving Program.

The Township's Consultant Engineer will prepare plans and specifications for NJDOT review and approval before going out to bid for this project.

"We hope to have this road repaved in 2025 in concert with Brown Avenue," said Deputy Mayor John Ciccarelli. "That will fix a lot of the traffic and truck problems that are experienced on Dukes Parkway and other roads when we also get the Brown Avenue extension completed. Hopefully, that will alleviate some of the pain over there."
