Hillsborough Junior Wrestling Teams Compete in Third Duals of the Season

Hillsborough Junior Wrestling completed their third duals of the season this week in the Central Jersey and Raritan Valley Wrestling Leagues. The teams have respective 3-0 and 2-1 records.

The Varsity Raider team collected another win of the dual meet season with a strong performance against Kenilworth tonight. Chris Spinelli, Kevin Quabek, Danny Chesner, Brian Musumeci, Jack Boylan, and Emilio Guerrero each recorded falls during their bouts to cruise to a 66-27 victory against the home team. Captains Zach Volpe and Ray O’Callaghan also battled through tough matches to each earn 1 point decisions for the Raiders. The Varsity Raiders head into the Holiday Break at 3-0 on the season before returning to action against Watchung Hills & Flemington for a tri-meet on January 5th.

The Hillsborough Raiders Raritan Valley team lost for the first time Saturday by a score of 50-33 to Bound Brook. Our wrestlers competed well in the loss to a strong Bound Brook team. Donovan Nichols, Peter Quandt and Nick Klementowicz recorded falls on the day. JB McCrea, Matt Ciattarelli, Michael Lalor and Varun Deb all won decision. The team heads into break at 2-1 and is looking forward to coming back, working hard and turning it around against Westfield on January 5th.
