Hillsborough Soccer Club Gifts Town Wiith New Soccer Goals

The Hillsborough Soccer Club is where children can improve their skills and grow their abilities in a fun, competitive soccer environment. For more information, visit www.hillsboroughsoccerclub.org.

The Hillsborough Soccer Club, Hillsborough’s youth travel soccer program, donated new goals to a township field located on Amsterdam Road.

“As one of the longest-running youth sports organizations in town, we feel a great sense of community. We recognized the need for new goals on the Country Classics field--a field that the Club does sometimes use for games and practices--and felt that replacing them would be wise,” said Bonnie Herterich, President of the Hillsborough Soccer Club.

The new goals are regulation size, made of light, yet durable metal, and feature collapsable wheels that make it easy to move them for maintenance purposes. The new goals replace a set that had been broken for several years.

“As a volunteer-run organization, it was a challenge to get a group together to install the goals,” added John Ciccarelli, Vice President and Equipment Director of the Hillsborough Soccer Club, “so we really appreciate the partnership of John Crossen and the township fields crew for doing such a terrific job in assembling the goals.”
