Mitey Mites
The Dukes Mitey Mite was also in Watchung Hills to play the Watchung Hills “2” Mitey Mite team. The defense had a strong game hold their opponent to two 2nd quarter touchdowns and stopping both extra points. Notable on defense was the improved open field tackling and penetration at the line of scrimmage. The defense had key fumble recoveries by Luke Scott and Wade Liedl and strong performances by Michael Giuliano (who also helped win the field position battles with strong kick-offs), Nate Kepniss, Jeremy Martino and Stephen Dowe. The offense found the endzone 6 times with Michael Caporaso leading the way with 4 (one on a kickoff return). Martino also had long touchdown run while Dowe, Donoven Nicolas, Kyle Sellyei & Chris Spinelli added PAT’s.

Junior PeeWee

The Junior Pee Wee team was on the road in Somerville and moved their record to 2 & 1. Kyle Hudak had a 60 yard run for a touchdown, Rocco Viscel had two key receptions (one for 35 yards and one for a score), and James Mazuera scored on a short run. Those 19 points held up as the defense held the Rams to 13 points and secured the win with a goal line stand. Leo Schiro led the defense with a forced fumble, fumble recovery and tackle in the backfield and Nick Caparosso also made a key tackle behind the line of scrimmage.

PeeWee

The Pee Wee team also moved to 2 & 1 with a 38 to 6 victory at Delaware Valley.
