Easton Avenue Ramp To I-287 North To Close For Several Weeks

The Easton Avenue / CR 527 northbound ramp to I-287 northbound ​will be closed overnight for several weeks beginning on Monday.

FRANKLIN, NJ — The Easton Avenue / CR 527 northbound ramp to Interstate 287 northbound will be closed overnight for several weeks for the start of bridge maintenance repairs in Franklin, New Jersey Department of Transportation officials announced.

The closure will begin at 11 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22 until 5 a.m. the next day, and continuing weeknights for the next several weeks.

The ramp will be closed to begin repairs on the bridge deck, joints and curb. Once work is completed nightly, traffic will resume in the morning.

The following detour will be in place for the next several weeks.

  • Motorists will be directed to continue northbound on Easton Avenue to the next U-Turn exit on the left for Morristown/Mahwah/I-287 northbound
  • Continue onto I-287 northbound

The federally-funded Easton Avenue / CR527 to I-287 northbound bridge maintenance repairs project began this past spring and is expected to be completed in early 2019.
