Election 2020: Who Is Running For Hillsborough School Board?

There will be six candidates running for the three open seats on the Hillsborough Board of Education in November.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — It will be a contested race for the school board election in Hillsborough this year with six candidates pursuing three open seats in November 2020, according to the Somerset County Clerk's Office.

School Board President Dr. Lorraine A. Soisson and incumbent board member Judith C. Haas and Ann Harris all filed petitions to run for re-election by the 4 p.m. deadline to file petitions on Monday. Newcomers Cynthia "Cindy" DeCavalcante Nurse, Paul Marini, and Benjamin Wilson Kidd have also filed for a seat.

All six are vying for three open three-year seats.

Election day will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
