Updated Results Of Hillsborough Primary 2023, Committee Race Contested In Fall
The Hillsborough Township Committee race was uncontested for the primary with two Republicans and two Democrats running.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — The polls are closed and the 2023 unofficial Primary Election votes for Hillsborough Township Committee are tallied unofficially.
The Somerset County clerk has not certified the totals yet. To make the tally official, the final certification of the results must be done on June 19.

There were only two Republicans and two Democrats running in the uncontested primary election.

- Republican incumbent James Ruh - 924
- Republican Catherine Payne - 918
- Democrat Samantha Hand - 1,432
- Democrat Ronald Yoder - 1,407
All four candidates will now run for the two, three-year township committee seats in the general election on Tuesday, Nov. 7. The Hillsborough Township Committee is currently made up entirely of Republicans.
