FOUND: Endangered Woman Missing For Over 1 Week In Somerset County
Shekinah Dover, 29, of Franklin, was found safe by authorities on Tuesday night after being missing for over a week.

FRANKLIN, NJ — A missing endangered Franklin Township woman was found safe on Wednesday morning after being missing for a week, authorities said.
Shekinah D. Dover, 29, had been missing since May 29 when she was last seen on a surveillance camera walking in Somerville. She was reported missing by her mother the following day.
After Franklin Township Police found evidence that Dover was not in the area, they teamed up with the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office to expand the search across the state and to areas she was thought to have ties, according to Franklin Township Police Director Quovella Maeweather.

Franklin Township Detectives working the case got an anonymous tip on their social media website on the whereabouts of Dover.
This tip led to police finding Dover safe on Tuesday at around 10:20 p.m. at an undisclosed location in Newark. She was unharmed and safe, according to SCPO.

The Franklin Township Police Department thanked the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office, the Somerset County Sheriff's Office, and the Newark Police Department for their help.
"Our law enforcement partners were crucial to this search effort, and I want to acknowledge the hard work and resiliency of the Franklin Township Police Department," said Maeweather. "I also want to thank all the community members and media outlets who assisted in our search efforts. A member of the community saw the posting on social media and alerted our dispatch call center of Ms. Dover’s location. This was a true team effort, and it led to a member of our community being safely located."
