Fundraiser Set Up For Somerset Family Of Boy, 2, Killed By Truck
The community is rallying around the family of a toddler who was tragically hit and killed by a pickup truck backing out of his driveway.
SOMERSET, NJ — The community is rallying around the family of a two-year-old boy who was tragically hit and killed by a pickup truck backing out of his driveway. A fundraiser has been set up for the family.
The boy was hit on Feb. 20 around 8:40 a.m. by a 60-year-old Somerset man backing out of his driveway in a pick-up truck, according to Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson.
Franklin Township Police Officers and EMS tried measures to save the boy before he was taken to a local area trauma center but the boy later died from his injuries. Read More: 2-Year-Old Boy Hit, Killed By Truck Leaving Home In Somerset

"At only two years old, incredibly lovable Grant lost his life in a tragic accident on his family's farm. His parents, young siblings, and grandparents are devastated," according to the GoFundMe site.
The GoFundMe site was created the following day on Feb. 21 and has already raised more than $100,000.
