Route 206 Delays Expected Due To Hillsborough Fire Chief Funeral Services
Hillsborough Township sent out an alert on Friday warning drivers of the delays on Route 206.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Drivers should expect traffic delays on Friday due to services at the Hillsborough Funeral Home for Fire Chief Thomas Marvits who died in the line of duty after suffering from complications of COVID-19.
Delays are expected in the area of Route 206 and Pierson Drive between 2 and 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., said the township in an alert.
Visitation will be held at Hillsborough Funeral Home at 796 Route 206 in Hillsborough on Friday, Jan. 20 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 381 South Branch Road in Hillsborough on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 10 a.m.
Marvits, who died on Sunday, was an active member of Hillsborough Fire Company #3 (Station 38) and served the township for more than 11 years.

He is survived by his wife Colleen and their two children. According to his obituary, he just turned 54 years old on Dec. 10, 2022.
