Great Road To Close For 2 Months For Bridge Repairs
Construction is scheduled to begin on Monday and continue through the end of January 2020.
MONTGOMERY, NJ — Great Road (County Route 601) will close on Monday in Montgomery for two month for bridge repairs.
The road will be closed from south of Georgetown Franklin Turnpike (County Route 518) and north of Cherry Valley Road.
A detour route will be setup using Georgetown Franklin Turnpike, Route 206 and Cherry Valley Road, with a separate detour route for trucks and vehicles over 4 tons. Local residents will still be able to access Great Road.

The road will be fully closed through the end of January 2020, weather permitting.
The project will include strengthening and repairing the bridge's structural steel repairs and repairing the concrete abutment. Scour countermeasures will also be installed and the deteriorated approach guide rail posts will be replaced.
