Hillsborough Committee Election Results Certified: See Final Tallies

Candidates running for a seat on the Township Committee included Samantha Hand, Ronald Yoder, James Ruh, and Catherine Payne.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — It's a wrap: The results are in for the 2023 race for the Hillsborough Township Committee.

The Somerset County Clerk's Office confirmed Wednesday that the election results from Nov. 7 have been certified.

In Hillsborough, there were four candidates running for two open seats on the Township Committee. Democrat Samantha Hand and Republican Catherine Payne were victorious over Republican incumbent James "Jim" Ruh and Democrat Ronald Yoder.

Here are the final, certified results as per the Somerset County Clerk's Office:

  • Hand - 5,869 votes (25.37%)
  • Payne - 5,764 votes (24.91%)
  • Ruh - 5,759 votes (24.89%)
  • Yoder - 5,681 votes (24.55%)
