"First and foremost, I want to thank Committeewoman Holmes for her service on the Committee and wish her the best," said Dondiego. "We are committed to ensuring the individuals we propose will be most qualified to serve all the residents of Hillsborough for at least the remainder of 2021."
The Township Committee will then have 30 days to choose among the provided names to serve until the next general election in November.
Additionally, the Hillsborough Democrats are also in the process of finding candidates to run in the November election.
"All of the individuals we propose to fill this vacancy will be able to hit the ground running to serve on the Township Committee, and therefore will also be highly qualified to run in November. We are excited to be putting together a great team of Democrats that will work hard in the upcoming campaign and win two seats on the Township Committee," said Dondiego.
