The Hillsborough Dukes hosted Montgomery on Sunday, August 25th. The Dukes’ competed in games across 4 levels starting at 8:30 in the morning to kick off their season.
Flag teams
The Red Flag team started their season with a tough game against Montgomery. The offense scored 2 times with touchdowns by Cole Hayden and Jack Moran. CJ Olney also had some big gains throughout the game. Defensively, Hayden, Moran and Logan McDermid had strong outings.

The Yellow Flag team had a great start to their season. The offense was paced by touchdowns from Jack Geraci, Steven Hunt, Tyler Pirog, Adam Stewart and 2 scores for Parker Taylor. The defense had a strong performance as a unit holding Montgomery to 2 scores.

Mitey Mites
The Mitey Mites kicked off their season with a tough matchup against Montgomery. The offense had one score when Chris Spinelli took the ball in for a 15 yd touchdown in the second quarter on a quarterback keeper. Justin Lebron dove in on the left side to make the extra point conversion. The offense controlled the ball throughout the game but the young team gave up some scores early.

Junior Pee Wee opened their season at home with a 19-0 loss to Montgomery.

All of the football teams would like to thank the Dukes cheer squads for their support. The girls cheered on the teams and used this week as their initial live performance at Half Time for their Competition season which begins later in the year.
