Hillsborough Dukes on the road for their 2nd game of the season

The Hillsborough Dukes traveled to Bound Brook and Washington Rock on Sunday, September 8th. The Dukes’ competed in games across 4 levels starting at 10:00 in the morning competing in the 2nd games of their season.
       

Flag teams
The Red Flag team started their season with an excellent performance against Bound Brook. The offense scored 11 times led by great blocking from James Grohe and others. Most of the offense got into the endzone and CJ Olney led the team with 2 touchdowns. The defense held Bound Brook to one late score and had strong performances by the whole team.  

The Yellow Flag team had another great game. The offense reached the end zone 10 times with Parker Taylor and Adam Stewart each scoring twice. The defense held Bound Brook to 4 scores with the unit breaking up a number of runs in their opponents backfield.

Mitey Mites
The Mitey Mites traveled to Bound Brook for their 2nd game. The defense kept Bound Brook off of the scoreboard pitching a shutout and forcing several turnovers. The team ran for 5 TDs, 3 by Jeremy Martino and 1 each for Jack O'Donnell and Michael Caporaso.  PAT's by Chris Spinelli, Stephen Dowe and Jeremy Martino.

Junior PeeWee

The Junior Pee Wee team also played at Bound Brook today. They rebounded from their 1st game with a win to move to 1 & 1. Joey O’Donnell threw a TD pass Kyle Hudak and James Mazuera scored the PAT. The defense held Bound Brook scoreless most of the game, led by two tackles for losses by Nick Caparroso, a fumble recovery by Anthony Stewart and a key stop on the conversion attempt to preserve the win.

PeeWee

The Pee Wee team traveled to Washington Rock and also leveled their record at 1 & 1 with a 31-0 victory.
