Hillsborough Locals Among 9 Arrested For DWI, Marijuana

7 Hillsborough and Belle Mead locals were among 9 to be charged with driving while intoxicated and marijuana possession: Police.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A total of seven Hillsborough and Belle Mead locals were among nine to be arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and marijuana possession charges in Hillsborough.

Hillsborough Police Blotter:

On Feb. 27: Christine Femia, 47, of Hillsborough was arrested for DWI after being stopped in her vehicle on Amwell Road. She was issued additional summonses for speeding. She was processed and released pending a court appearance.

On Feb. 27: Amadu Ndoeka, 41, of Belle Mead was arrested for DWI after being stopped in his vehicle near Route 206 and Pike Run. He was issued additional summonses for having unclear plated, an obstructed view and an open container of alcohol in the vehicle. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.

On Feb. 28: Jessie Lopez, 36, of Bound Brook was charged with obstruction by flight after committing a motor vehicle violation on Bloomingdale Drive. He then attempted to avoid detection by parking his vehicle in a cul-de-sac with no legitimate purpose. He was issued summonses for speeding and driving while suspended. He was released pending a court appearance.

On March 3: Nicholas Smith, 20, of Hillsborough was charged with possession of marijuana after being stopped in his vehicle on New Amwell Road. He was issued additional summonses for speeding. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.

On March 14: John Kargbo, 34, of Somerset was arrested for possession of marijuana after being stopped in his vehicle on Camplain Road. He was also issued summonses for having controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle and failing to stop. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.

On March 16: Adam Blumenthal, 27, of Belle Mead was arrested for DWI after being involved in a motor vehicle crash on Route 206. He was issued additional summonses for careless driving, disregarding a traffic control device and having an uninsured vehicle. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.

On March 17: Edwin Oquendo 2nd, 26, of Somerset was arrested for possession of marijuana after being stopped in his vehicle on Amwell Road. He was issued an additional summonses for failing to maintain his lane. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.

On March 18: Jennifer Frana, 38, of Hillsborough was arrested for DWI after being stopped in her vehicle on Amwell Road. She was issued additional summonses for refusing to submit breath samples, obstructing passage of vehicles, failing to keep right, failing to observe a traffic control device, failing to pull over for an emergency vehicle and failing to exhibit a registration and insurance card. She was processed and released pending a court appearance.

On March 18: Laron Hines, 39, of Hillsborough was arrested for DWI after his vehicle had become disabled on Andria Avenue as a result of a motor vehicle crash. He was issued additional summonses for careless driving, failing to maintain a lane and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.

On March 31: Isaias Ordonez-Lopes, 35, of Plainfield was charged with hindering apprehension after being stopped in his vehicle and providing false information regarding his identity. He was issued additional summonses for driving while suspended, unlicensed driver and careless driving. He was released pending a court appearance.

On April 1: Lester Vanness, 60, of Hillsborough was arrested for DWI after being stopped in his vehicle on Route 206. He was issued additional summonses for speeding and failing to keep right. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.
