Hillsborough Locals Arrested For Drugs, Damaging Raritan Cop Car

The driver thought he got in an accident, which did not occur and the 3 passengers were 'possibly overdosing' inside the car, police report.

RARITAN, NJ — Four Hillsborough locals were arrested on various charges related to drugs in Raritan recently, according to the Raritan Police blotter.

On Aug. 3 at 4:27 p.m., Officer Joseph Nepomuceno was on patrol when he saw Randy Potts, 18, of Hillsborough standing outside of his vehicle on First Avenue, police said.

Potts told Nepomuceno that he thought he was involved in an accident, which did not occur, police report.

He was arrested for DWI, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance, police report.

Additionally, three other passengers in the vehicle appeared to be under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance, possibly overdosing, police report.

As a result, Bianca Martinez, 20, of Hillsborough and Nathalia Leite-Pignato, 18, of Hillsborough, were each charged with being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance.

The last passenger, a 17-year-old juvenile from Hillsborough was charged with being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and criminal mischief. The criminal mischief charge was a result of the juvenile damaging the rear of the patrol vehicle while being transported to headquarters, according to the report.
