Hillsborough Man Convicted Of Bank Robbery In North Brunswick
He is also charged in connection with bank robberies in Franklin Township and Princeton. And was previously convicted on 2 robberies.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A Hillsborough man charged in connection with multiple bank robberies in the local area was convicted Wednesday of a bank robbery which took place in North Brunswick on Jan. 14, 2017.
Quintin Watson, 51, of Hillsborough was found guilty by a jury on Nov. 14 for the 2017 robbery of the Garden State Community Bank in North Brunswick, Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey said.
Watson reportedly presented a note to the teller, demanded money, and left the bank with $5,772. Watson was arrested and charged on Nov. 3, 2017, with robbery in the second degree, while he was in custody in Somerset County for three additional bank robberies.

One of the robberies was at the TD Bank on Route 27 in the Franklin Park section of the township at 12:58 p.m. on Sept. 3, 2017.

Bank employees reported that an unknown black man approached a bank teller and handed them a note announcing the robbery. After getting an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled on foot in an unknown direction.

Another robbery was reported at the Chase Bank on Elizabeth Avenue in the Somerset section of Franklin Township on Nov. 1 around 6 p.m.

Bank employees reported that an unknown black man approached a bank teller and handed them a note announcing the robbery as the suspect motioned towards his waistband as if he had a weapon. The suspect fled from the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Watson was later identified as a suspect.
He is also charged in connection with a bank robbery in Princeton. Police believe Watson is the man who made off with an as yet undetermined amount of cash from the Santander Bank located at 188 Nassau Street, at about 4:23 p.m. on Oct. 26, 2017. Police say he handed the teller a note demanding cash. After receiving the cash, he walked out of the bank toward Park Place, according to police. He is currently facing indictments, stemming from bank robberies, in Somerset and Warren Counties in New Jersey, and Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
On the North Brunswick conviction, Watson is facing a life sentence, without the possibility of parole, subject to the New Jersey Three Strikes Law.
Watson was previously convicted on two prior bank robbery including in 1987 in St. Louis, Missouri, and 2006 in Madison County, New York.
He is scheduled to be sentenced in New Brunswick Superior Court on Jan. 7, 2019.
