Hillsborough Parks & Recreation Awarded For Park Trail Maps

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Hillsborough Township’s Parks & Recreation Department was recognized at the 2025 Annual New Jersey Recreation and Parks Association (NJRPA) Conference.

"Congratulations to Hillsborough’s Recreation Department on being recognized by the NJRPA for the third year in a row," said Mayor John Ciccarelli at the March 11 Township Committee meeting.

The NJRPA awards were held on Feb. 25 to recognize dedicated park and recreation leaders, employees, and volunteers and to recognize the State’s outstanding Parks and Recreation agencies for excellence in programming, publicity, and facility design.

Honored under the "Brochure or Newsletter" category, the Hillsborough Township Parks & Recreation team won the Agency Showcase Award for their Hillsborough Township Park Maps.

"I'm proud of the hard work the Township has committed to making the Park Map pamphlets project a reality," Director of Parks & Recreation Griffin Dunne stated. "This has been a long-time request from community members, and it was our pleasure to create park maps that are dedicated to providing facility specs and park amenities to the residents of Hillsborough."
