200 Calls Between Hillsborough Teacher-Student Who Kissed: Report

The 200 late night phone calls were reportedly made between the English teacher and 17-year-old student over 5 months: report.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A Hillsborough High School teacher who was arrested last week and a 17-year-old female student have admitted to kissing and hundreds of late-night calls were made between the two, according to court documents revealed by nj.com.

Court documents state that 200 calls were made between Kenneth Shindle, 27, of Plainsboro, who was an English teacher at Hillsborough High School, and the student between January and May this year. There were also unsupervised visits at his home where one time both had admitted to kissing on his couch, according to nj.com.

Shindle was charged on June 5 with two second-degree counts of endangering the welfare of a child, one count for engaging in sexual conduct that would impair or debauch the morals of the child, and one count for causing harm to the child making her an abused or neglected child, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey.

Shindle is currently suspended from Hillsborough High School where he was employed as an English teacher for five years with tenure.
