Man Masturbating On Hillsborough Property Wanted By Police: Prosecutor
Authorities are trying to see if the man is the same person wanted in similar incidents in the township spanning back to 2018.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A man caught on surveillance camera masturbating at a Hillsborough resident's property on Wednesday night is wanted by police, announced Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald on Thursday.
Authorities believe he could also be linked to similar incidents in the township dating back to 2018 due to the proximity of the crimes.
On March 22 at around 10:15 p.m. a Meadowbrook Drive resident said he was alerted and saw an unknown man masturbating on his property which was captured on his home surveillance camera, said McDonald.

Hillsborough Township Police Officers canvassed the area but couldn't find the man. Officers viewed the surveillance footage and confirmed the masturbation incident, said McDonald.
The suspect is described as a fair-skinned Caucasian man, who was wearing what appeared to be a bandana on his head, no shirt, and underwear when the act occurred.

Detectives from the Hillsborough Township Police Department along with detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit, the Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Unit, and the Computer Crimes Unit are investigating.
Past Incidents
No suspects have been identified, and investigators are trying to determine if this recent suspect is the same person wanted for similar events in Hillsborough Township due to the proximity of the incidents.

In 2018, there were four reported incidents of a naked man running around the township from August through November.
On Nov. 1, 2018 at around 7 p.m., a Meadowbrook Drive resident said she saw a naked man at the back door of her home. The man was reportedly seen peering into the home. Read More: Naked Man Running Around Hillsborough, Peering In Windows: Police

On Sept. 14, 2018, at about 10 p.m. a naked man was seen on a surveillance video near the rear door of a Triangle Road home and was also walking around the front of the home, police report.
On Sept. 28, 2018, at about 9:30 p.m., a resident of Columbia Common reported that a man approached her in front of her home and exposed himself to her. The man was wearing a white sweatshirt, black pants and a baseball cap. He was described as a light-skinned man with dark shoulder length wavy hair, according to police.
On July 31, 2018, a township resident at around 10:15 a.m., reported a naked white man in his early 20s was reportedly hiding in the bushes in the area of South Triangle Road and Triangle Road. Read More: Naked Man Hiding In Bushes Reported In Hillsborough
Authorities are urging area residents to notify investigators if they observed any suspicious individual matching the description provided from March 22’s event.
