Numerous Unlocked Cars Burglarized In Montgomery

All of the vehicles were unoccupied and parked with doors unlocked, Montgomery Police said.

MONTGOMERY, NJ — Numerous unlocked cars were burglarized during the early hours of Wednesday morning in Montgomery.

The burglaries occurred between 1:30 and 3 a.m. on Wednesday in the area of Autumn Lane and Braeburn Drive, Montgomery Police said.

All of the vehicles were unoccupied and parked with doors unlocked. Several items were stolen out of the unlocked vehicles, police said.

Montgomery was also hit recently by a rash of burglaries on May 25 when seven unlocked vehicles were burglarized and one unlocked vehicle was stolen.

Police are reminding "all residents to lock their vehicles at all times when unattended to help deter this type of activity, as well as report suspicious persons or vehicles."
